Devin the Dude- Waiting to Inhale

The first track I heard from this album was "What a Job" which made me check this album. Prior to this song i had never heard of Devin and this album wasn't what I expected. All in all, I think this album lacks in major areas. The "quality" off this album isn't professional at times......which kind of distracted me, or maybe i was listening to hard. Lyricaly, Devin didn't blow me away but his voice and style combined made me enjoy this album the firt few listens.
As far as concepts and content........the core subject of this album was females. The first track to the album "She Want the Money" is what most of the album is about. The more positive song on the album was about a female "Little Girl Gone Wild" and then he displays his hate for a female on (a beat that displays the opposite emotion) "Just Because". At times, I think Devin is purposely being comedic.........another reason why I am overall feelin this album.
I think the album was lacking in quality, lyrical content-concepts, and PRODUCTION. A very bad mix.

Overall this album gets 3 outa 5 STARS

*it wasn't the typical shit I would listen to, yet entertaining. LOL!!! (Ex: "Broccoli and Chesse" 1:46- 2:15 "atleast let me get a wiff of that 'P-oosey'") <<<COMEDY!!!! *notice the "melody" from a well known Soul song, HAHAHAHA!!!!
